Turn on find My iPhone
To use the "Find My iPhone" feature, you must enable it in your iPhone's Settings by tapping your name, then Find My > Find My iPhone, and ensuring it's turned on. If you lose your device, you can then use the Find My app on another Apple device or go to icloud.com/find on a web browser to locate your device on a map, play a sound on it, or mark it as lost to protect your information.
Before you lose your iPhone :

Open the Settings app.

Tap your name, then tap Find My.

Tap Find My [device], then turn on Find My [device].

To see your device even when it's offline, turn on Find My network.* To have the location of your device sent to Apple when the battery is low, turn on Send Last Location.

For improved tracking, turn on Find My network and Send Last Location.
If you lose your iPhone:
1. Open: the Find My app on another Apple device or go to icloud.com/find in a web browser and sign in with your Apple ID.
2. Select: your lost iPhone from the list of devices.
3. Choose: from the following actions:
- Play Sound: Makes your device play a sound to help you find it.
- Directions: Opens the device's location in the Maps app.
- Mark as Lost: Locks your device and can display a custom message and contact information on the screen.
- Erase iPhone: Wipes all data from your device as a last resort.
About locating a device:
You can use Find My on your iPhone to see the location of your device on a map. If the device is online, you see its location, and it plays a sound to help you find it. If the device is offline, you see its location, but it doesn’t play a sound.
