How do I look up my SMC "username"?

Answer

1. Go to the Username Lookup Form

2. Fill in the “Username Lookup Form”. Once you enter your first name, last name, and SMC Student ID number correctly on the lookup screen, the system will say “Username Retrieval Successful”.

Notice that each part of a username is glued to the other parts by an underscore character that looks like “_”. The underscore character is on the same keyboard key as the hyphen, but you must hold down the keyboard’s SHIFT key while you press the underscore key once to get the underscore to show up.

3. Click on “Please login with this username”. The SMC SIGNON box will remember your username and fill that box in for you.

4. Enter your password.

If your password is correct, then you will go to the Account Management screen. You do not need to do anything on this screen except to log out at the top right corner. The only reason for going to this screen now is to verify that you know your username and password. If you are not able to complete the steps above and you need additional help with signing in, please click here.
